One of the main problems I faced when building the carrier is figuring out a way to easily place the egg in and out in under a minute without compromising the structural integrity of the carrier. To add to this problem the non modified cap for the carrier was impossible to get on in under a minute and it would need a hammer to get it on and take it off. How I solved the cap problem with putting it on is I cut slits in the lid lip to allow it to shrink around the lip of the lid. I still had to deal with the fact of getting it off. I placed a hole in the middle of the lid which would be covered with aluminum tape for the drop but after the drop I could insert a screw with a handle the easily pull the lid off.
